Species list - Trees

One Nature Reserve task is attaching identification tags to selected trees — an important step for future generations. Fauna Arborist, Ken McAuslan has identified over 125 tree species, both native and exotic, on Fauna’s property to date. Many of the exotic trees at Fauna are far from their native comfort zones. We’ve nevertheless been successful in their cultivation by creating microclimates for them wherever possible, and of course betting to some degree on climate change. This list will be updated as we continue to identify additional tree species here at Fauna.
