Some captive chimpanzees manifest behaviors that lead to a diagnosis of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Rachel and Jeannie were two chimpanzees who came to Fauna Foundation after years in biomedical research. They were emotionally devastated and taught us about the lasting effects, and potential for healing after the trauma of life in biomedical research.
